Your precious small pooch can come and socialise with other small dogs in our good sized back garden – or book with us for in-home holiday care – where they’re cared for like they are at home and spend lots of time running around and playing in either our home or the home of our trusted and vetted holiday care group.
We live in a beautiful part of the Adelaide Hills at Mount Barker very close to Laratinga Wetlands and Mount Barker Summit.
We have friendly dogs of our own and are a mature couple experienced with all aspects of pet care who understand that pets are family. I have a National Police Check and am trained in animal first aid. We have spent ten years running a small breed dog rescue and other programs designed to assist people and their pets.
Dogs will enjoy living inside as one of the family in air conditioned comfort, with regular play time, cuddles and belly rubs, home cooked meals, a meaty bone each week, the chance to run around freely, and regular nature and adventure walks. The dogs enjoy playing ball and other games with one another and us. We also take them out walking on different routes where they’ll see cows, sheep, rabbits, kangaroos, horses and perhaps the occasional Koala.
I take regular photos and videos and share these with you so that you know how your precious family member is going while you’re not there with them.
We only take small dogs up to 15 kg, who are up to date on vaccinations and desexed (unless too young to desex).
We also have a group of trusted and vetted holiday carers in various areas who can also provide holiday care and we’ll organise your booking for you.
Pricing:
Daycare: $30-40 per day depending on number of hours
Holiday Care: $50 per night, $350 per week for a single dog
Peak (between 15th December and 15th January and Easter): $60 per night, $420 per week
$95 per night, $665 per week for two dogs
Peak (between 15th December and 15th January and Easter): $110 per night, $770 per week
Pick-up and drop-off $1 per km outside a 5km radius
$10 surcharge per day for all SA Public Holidays (outside peak period)
A percentage of your fee will help the pets of seniors who have to go in to care or pass away to find new homes to live out their lives happily. All their vet work will be taken care of and if it is feasible a new family who are happy to take them to see their senior owner in care regularly will be sought.
